Chesca has been singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments ever since she was young. Her first formal dance experience was at the age of four when she took ballet for a short period of time. When her family moved to the States when she was six, her interest went to piano lessons and clogging. She started organized dance again in high school where she joined the dance team, and became a captain her senior year. She graduated from Laramie High School, and continued dancing at the University of Wyoming.  Although she constantly changed her major, Chesca kept dance a priority during college. She trained in tap, jazz, modern, and classical ballet at the UW. During college she was also the coach for her former high school dance team. She was also introduced to yoga and dance fitness during this time. Her favorite genre will always be hip-hop!

Chesca relocated to Rapid City in 2016. After two years, she found herself dancing again at local fitness boutique studios in town. While traveling in the beginning of 2020, she was inspired to teach dance fitness thanks to a charismatic dance instructor at a local studio in the Philippines where she was visiting family. She also traveled to Bali, Indonesia to attend a yoga teacher training and got certified. She flew back to the states in March as countries started closing their borders due to the pandemic. A year later as places started to open up again, she started teaching a hip-hop fitness class at a local barre studio in Rapid City. Now that she's also joined the Barefoot Dance team, she is excited to share her love for dance with the community
