Policies and Procedures

Tuition: Tuition is required to be paid monthly for monthly/afternoon/morning students, or weekly for weekly students. For monthly/afternoon/morning students tuition will be due on the 3rd of June, July and August.  Please note that we will be closed July 4th and 5th.  For weekly students, tuition will be due every Monday. All tuition will be automatically withdrawn from credit/debit card or bank account through our autopay system.  Cash and checks are not accepted. A late fee of $25 will be applied on all late payments. Your child may not attend camp without the proper tuition payment. Camp account must be paid up to date prior to your child attending scheduled field trips. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. We will not make alternative arrangements for your child. We will not provide staff to watch your child for the day and you would have to make alternate arrangements. If you decide to keep your child home for any reason, you will be required to pay your tuition in full for that period of absence as part of your contractual agreement with BSDC. Your child may not re-enter the camp without this payment in full. A two week written notice is required for withdraw.

Although our camp is All Inclusive there may be some extra special field trips that we may ask for a small financial contribution to be able to attend.

Vacation:  With one month advance notice of any vacations from camp, we will not charge you for said vacations.  If less than one month notice is given families will still be responsible for payment on those weeks.

Camp Deposit: A deposit of $100.00 is required at registration for all monthly/afternoon/morning students and will be deducted from your first payment.

Sibling Discount: Siblings will save $50 on tuition/month for those enrolled for monthly ONLY.  

Late Fee: A fee of $2 per minute late will be charged when camp counselors must wait for a parent past closing time (5:30 pm). This fee will be charged to your account each day there are fees accrued. Repeated pick-up after closing time will result in termination.

Enrollment: Campers must enroll two weeks prior to start date.  If there is any circumstance that would prevent you from paying tuition on a timely basis, please discuss this confidentially with the Camp Director prior to it becoming delinquent. Failure to pay tuition on a timely basis may result in terminating your child's enrollment.

Termination: Please give two weeks written notice if you plan to withdraw your child from Camp BSDC. There will be no refunds issued for early termination from the sessions.

Cancellations: The camp calendar is subject to change due to inclement weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances. We will make every effort to accommodate all planned trips and/or reschedule accordingly. There will be no refunds or account adjustments on calendar revisions and/or cancellations.

We practice a “Three Strike”policy for behavioral issues.  Campers will be given 4 warnings in which our counselors will notify parents and a strike will be given.  If a camper receives three strikes, we reserve the right to terminate the campers enrollment.

SECURITY: Your child must be signed in and out each day. Procedures for arrivals and departures have been developed to assure the safety and well being of everyone in the school. Your cooperation in complying with them is appreciated. Children are always to be walked into the building and be placed with a Camp BSDC staff member before the parent leaves. Sign-in and Sign-Out will happen on a daily basis and completed applicable permission slips for medication or field trips are required.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS: If your child develops symptoms of illness during the day we will contact you to pick up your child. For the health and well-being of your child and others, please do not bring your child to camp.

Clothing * The school cannot be held responsible for lost clothing or possessions. Dress your child to be prepared for hands on (and sometimes messy) projects. Flip-flops can be unsafe and are not permitted. Sneakers are recommended.

For safety precautions, copies of any restricted diet approved by the child's physician must be on file at the camp. It is important that you let us know if your child has any known food allergies. Campers are required to have a water bottle everyday.  We will send them home on Fridays for cleaning.

Naptime: There will be no nap time allocated during summer camp; however, there will be “rest-period”. During this time the children will have an opportunity to read, listen to music, or watch a movie to relax.
