POLICIES

POLICIES:

Payment Policies:  Payment is due at the first class of every month.  The monthly tuition rate is the same each month no matter how many weeks fall in that month.  A late fee of $5.00 will be added to tuition if payments are made after the first class of every month.  No contract must be signed so Mrs. Andrea should be notified immediately of withdrawal or these monthly charges will be invoiced.

Attendance Policies: Attendance is important for any student’s success; please attempt to be present for every class.  In the event of absence, students may attend a make-up class.  To arrange a make-up class, it is your responsibility to arrange it through your instructor.  Out of consideration, please attempt to let Barefoot know if a student will be missing a class.  415-1111

Withdrawal Policy:  Because it means so much to us at Barefoot to maintain small class sizes notification of withdrawal is extremely important.  If we are not notified within a reasonable time that a student will no longer attend classes, student will be invoiced for the classes missed and each consecutive month that is missed.  Invoicing will stop when we are notified of withdrawal or the student’s place in class has been filled via the waiting list (whichever comes first).   415-1111/ 412 5th Street RCSD, 57701

Attire Policies:  Proper dance shoes should be worn for each discipline; Pink leather ballet shoes for ballet, Black jazz shoes for Jazz, Black tap shoes for Tap, bare feet are used in Modern dance, but arrangements can be made if this is an issue.  Leotard and tights are preferred for ballet.  Leotard and dance pants are preferred for Jazz, Tap, and Modern. Convertible or footless tights are required for all Ballet/Modern Combo classes. Colors and styles are up to the student to encourage confidence and self-expression.  Hair should always be up and out of the student’s face.

Weather:  If Rapid City Public Schools are cancelled or let out early for weather, classes will not be held.  If any other weather circumstance should arise, Barefoot will do its best to notify all students of cancellations.  Saturday class cancellations will be posted on our website by 930 am. Cancellations will be posted to the website

.   If you are unsure of a cancellation please call Barefoot @ 415-1111.

Performance Policies: A contract will be signed for performances when all dates and times are established.  It is extremely difficult to change choreography if a student withdrawals from a performance. Classes become a team when they prepare for performance so every child is crucial in a successful show.  No refunds will be given on performance deposits or costume fees if child withdraws from performances after contract is signed.

Cancellation Policy:  If your instructor should be ill or have any other reason that she should not be able to attend class, phone calls will be given to each student and make-up classes will be arranged by her. Barefoot Dance Studio reserves the right to cancel a class due to low attendance or inconsistent attendance, and refunds will be arranged in this case.
